It helps to fill the pitcher with hot water instead of iced water, and then put it in the fridge after brewing. The pitcher feels flexible, but that can cause it to crack as well. You really have to baby these pitchers. I found that the quick temperature change is too much for these pitchers, and causes them to eventually split on the seam. Also, do not push the top sideways down into the pitcher. They should either start making these out of a more durable material, or reinforce that seam somehow. The seam that runs down the front of the pitcher will usually crack over time. I've cracked two.

If you need an extra or replacement pitcher, this one is for you. This pitcher is great. It fits and works just like the original(which I accidentally melted in my dishwasher).

Coffee Iced Tea Maker pitchers. Coffee 3 quart iced tea maker and was disappointed when I broke my pitcher I've had for at least 6 years.
The difference in the temperatures, very hot and very cold, makes the plastic crack. Also, clean your tea maker at least once a year with vinegar to get rid of any buildup caused by tap water. I've never had any problems with any Mr.
I love my Mr. DON'T PUT ICE IN THE PITCHER WHEN YOU ARE BREWING THE TEA. Bon AppeTEAt.
I was very pleased to find the replacement pitcher online. Before I purchased the replacement pitcher, I read reviews wherein people said the pitchers, original and replacement, were cracking.
